Sponge Bob Lycan Hat!!

My son is a very loved and spoiled little man. His great (and I do mean great :) ) grandparents have gone south for the winter and they sent back a spongebob hat and gloves set. I'm sure we will have lot's of winter storms so Lycan can wear all his new stylish winter fashions!

I love when close up pictures actually turn out. He's so cute!

All the way from Korea!!!

Last night was a fun night. I know I've already talked about my lil bro living in Korea but last night we got to celebrate christmas with him. We went over to my parents house and they have skype on their computer with the webcam. So we called him up and it was already like 8AM the next day so he was just waking up. Lycan was so cute! He saw his uncle and immediately went running upstairs to his bedroom at my parents house to go see him and we had to explain that uncle brandon wasn't at home that he was living on the other side of the world. I think he thinks uncle brandon lives in the computer now. haha So anyways... uncle brandon sent us christmas presents  and he watched us over skype opening our gifts. I felt like the family on Spaceship Earth at the end of the ride. We are the future!! I thought it was so cool!

The big thing in Korea right now is scrafs, wraps and for kids it's the adorable animal shaped hats. Here are pics of us in our presents. Were so cute!! (Lycan is the cutest!!!)

p.s. My mind is going a million miles a minute thinking of adorable layouts to make with CAC and these awesome pics!!

Happy Birthday Cuz Jamie

My cousin was born on New Years Eve!! Happy Birthday Jamie!! I hope you have a great day.

For christmas I got 3 different sets of the my pink stamper "puny-licious" stamp sets so I'm going to be on a roll with my create a critter cart. I don't think I'll ever get sick of it. (ask me in 3 months) I love the colors I picked for this card. I normally have a hard time meshing colors but I think I did a pretty good job on this one. Yay!! Soo cute!!! I hope she enjoys it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Here is the before (Love Love Love my gypsy!!!)

Happy Birthday Bro

My brothers birthday was yesterday. He won't get his card for 7-10 business days because he's on the other side of the world. I used a cute my pink stamper stamp for the sentiment, "Happy Beelated Birthday." I also used my of course all time favorite cart create a crittter for the bee and the tree. I did cuddle bug the tree and heat emboss it with clear embossing powder. Then I used martha stewart glitter for the leaves. I hid the cheek cuts on my gypsy for the bee and just used some pink chalk for his cheeks with a nice small paint brush. (thanks to the painting hubby who gave me an old paint brush of his I love you babe!!) On the inside I heat embossed the my pink stamper sentiment "Have a tree-mendous day."

p.s. for other crafter you'll also notice I didn't cut the top layer of the tree trunk. There normally is another layer on the tree trunk with a smiley face. I just liked the trunk without the smile. Thought it made the card look nicer.

Sledding (almost)

My son has the coolest sled on the hill. Thanks to his mama (yeah that's me!!) and my totally awesome creative skills on my cricut E and with some vinyl.

To our surprise when we stepped outside our front door we had about 5 inches more snow than expected. The sidewalks which are normally kept shoveled were covered and no where in site. We tried going sledding but half way there my sons fingers got too cold. He likes to eat the snow and we can't find water proof gloves for him. Tomorrow were gonna try driving to the sledding hill and see if that will cut down on the snow eating. (ha ha) He's sooo cute!!!

My First Gypsy Card(s)!!!!

Yay!!! Time to celebrate my E came back yesterday!! It works great!! Time to share my first ever gypsy made cards.

This first card I made for my good friend Katie. I used multiple carts and a peachy keen stamp for the face. I made all these cuts on one 12x12 matt using my gypsy. It's sooo cool!! I'm loving it!!!

This card I made for my brother Brandon. He is living over in South Korea right now and loves all things asian so I made him this asian inspired christmas card. The words on the front of the card say Merry Christmas in Korean.

Here Comes Santa Claus

We did our annual family tradition of taking our son to see the mall santa and get his picture taken. We also have a tradtion of finding and buying the gaudiest most christmas related picture frame ever. Still on the look out for the frame... I think I might wait until the after christmas sales!! But I wanted to share his picture. He did such a great job with santa this year. As soon as my son saw Santa and got so happy he ran into his arms and gave him a big squeeze and then we (mom and dad) stood behind the camera lady and said, "say cheese" and we got the shot right away. I'm a very proud mama!! Sooo adorable!!

My opinion on the subject....

Alot of people on the forums have been moaning and groaning about cricutmachine.com. I read all the posts and I've had my own personal experiences with the company on 3 seperate orders. I think that entitles me to have an opinion and here it is....

I get the frustration with waiting for your stuff to come in the mail but when a company is backed up there is really nothing you can do about it. When I see people on the forums posting things like this company is a fraudulent company it kinda pisses me off. Cricutmachine.com allthough they are slow they have great prices but I don't know anyone on here that can say that cricutmachine.com just out of no where started putting false charges on there credit cards. I see people who say after they placed an order with their credit card they had a charge from another company but how is that in any relation to cricutmachine.com can they prove it? I think all these rumors are giving this company who provides us with pretty freaking awesome prices a bad rap and I'm gonna be the first one to say I'll keep buying from them because I've had no problems whatsoever. In fact my last order was placed on friday the 10th and they upgraded my shipping for free and I got my gypsy on monday the 13th. Sorry for being so blunt.

Someone thought I was singling them out and apologized for herself. I don't want to paste what she wrote from the forums just in case that's not allowed. But here is my response. I just don't understand why everyone jumps on the band wagon of hating a company so much and all the rumors are hear say. Blah!

Hey, I wasn't singling out any one person in this post. I was frustrated with every single person on this forum who moans about cricutmachine.com. Have a little patience with a company that we probably all buy from because of the great prices. Don't just automatically come on the forums and start saying that the company is fraugulent and that no one should ever buy from them. Most of the people on here end up eating their words cause a few days later they end up getting their stuff anyways.

I will be giving this one to my grandparents when we see them this week before they fly south for the winter. I thought the Santa in a innertube fit perfectly! I will miss you guys!!!

I call this one my masterpiece card. It's got the most bling blaooow!! I loves it!!!

So....

I bought a gypsy!! I'm super excited. No more lugging around my carts and I can design anywhere! Whoo hoo!! This is gonna be fun!

Wish I may Wish I might have some blog candy for christmas tonight

I found this awesome blog while hoping around online today. Also found out there is a blog candy offer and all I have to do is link the first picture of the contents to my blog and then I'm entered in the drawing. Cross your fingers for me.

Click on the link http://cabioscraftcorner.blogspot.com/ to see the picture of the goodies I'm trying to get.

My Eyeball Secret

To make my create a critters eyeballs come to life I use a really simple 2 step procedure. The only things you will need once your critter is made is a while gel pen and some glossy accents.

First I just put a little dot of white in the middle of the eye and let that dry. Then I put a generous amount of the glossy accents into the whole area of the eyeball. I let that dry overnight and then if need be I do another layer the next day and let that dry for a whole 24 hours as well. The pic below is the finished product! Isn't it adorable?!!

Here is a side view to show the demension of the glossy accents. I love glossy accents!!!

Do you remember my first christmas card from one of my first blogs? I used my bff christmas present martha stewart glitter glue and blinged out rudolph and then I also used my glossy accents to do his eyeballs.
 Here is a close up

First Snow and Snow Cones!!!

We got our first snow fall yesterday. I'm totally NOT a snow person but seeing the joy on my sons face makes me a snow person. I love making him happy so we've been outside alot in the past 2 days! He's so into eating the snow and his little hands can't fit into the big kids gloves yet so I took a plastic toy of his and turned it into a snow cone holder for him.

See he's holding his snow cone while dodging a snowball from dad!

It's my sons first snow angel of the year!

We could only stand the cold long enough to make the butt of the snow man. haha!

We came inside and warmed up by eating more snow!

Then I had a fabulous idea of turning our snow cone into a colorful snowcone!! My son and I used food coloring and simple syrup and had fun decorating.

We even decorated our tongues!!

The simple syrup that I used to flavor the snow is a really quick and easy recipe. I used 2 cups sugar to 3/4 cups water. I brought that to a quick boil. Next I added my favorite flavor packet of koolaid gave it a stir and poured it into a heat safe jar. Sugar is really hot and takes awhile to cool down. It tastes so yummy on shaved ice or even your first fresh fallen snow. Yumm-O!!!
