Get Whale Soon

My BFF's baby girl is sicky poo and my son wanted to make her a feel better card. We used CAC, MPS stamps and Peachy Keen stamps. We also used some ribbon, glitter and glossey accents. The paper is from Stampin Up and my scraps folder.

All the pics are just different lighting. Wanted to show with flash and close up to light... I don't have a light box so I'm always taking like a bajillion shots to try and get the right one.

We hope you feel better soon Ava :)

So excited and I just can't hide it!!

My hubby just brought in our mail from today and my PEACHY KEEN STAMPS came in the mail!!! I'm soooooo excited to finally have some good sets of cute little faces and I also got the medium sized critter faces so my addiction to the CAC has just gotten worse!! YAY!!! I'm happy :)

Throwback Thursday Challenge (My Creative Time with Emma)

Hey Everyone!! This card is for the challenge going on over at My Creative Time with Emma. I saw this card cut for the first time on the blog hop I was just involved in. Mindy over at Grammie's Craft Room did such a great job on her card so I had to look up directions and try it out myself. You can find the template and instructions over at My Creative Exposure. I found her site thru yahoo and she makes some great stuff and has great tutorials.

Alrighty onto the pictures!!

p.s. I don't have the "Walk In My Garden" cartridge so I used "Accent Essentials" instead. Thinking outside the box!!

I used Accent Essentials for the flowers. My first time ever making flowers with my cricut!! I used Stampin Up for the plain cardstock, Me & My Big Ideas for the patterned paper, and my I-ROCK for the bling. The sentiment is hardly viewable but it's a rubber stamp I got at a garage sale. This card looks hard to make but it was the easiest card I've ever made. Hope ya'll enjoy!! I love reading your comments.

I heart my sweet tooth

Another belated valentines project for ya!

We went grocery shopping today and the commissary had all their valentines stuff real cheap. My sweet tooth was calling out to buy the box mix of fun-fetti cake and make some nom nom cookies. When I got home I decided to turn the cookies into a really cute fun editable craft.

I used the heart from Plantin Schoolbook and I used my Peachy Keen Stamps

They taste as good as they look and my wonderful Hubby is taking them with him to his gaming night so I don't end up eating them all!! He was embarrased at first because it's a bunch of guys who play Warmachine but he loves me and I'm sure all the guys will eat them all up!

Bee Mine

It is so awesome how much my son amazes me everyday. He loves Loves LOVES drawing and watching video's on youtube. So one day I decided to type in how to draw tutorials on youtube and he's been addicted to them ever since. He always comes to be and says, "How to draw bee" and then we'll look up the video and he'll sit at his white board and learn to draw something new. Then I'll sit there with him and teach him how to write the word of whatever he is drawing. It's mommy's pre-school!! hahaha I just had to share this adorable picture of what he drew this morning. Soooo cute! I love my little man.

Lot's of Love Blog Hop

Hi Everyone and Welcome To The Lots of Love Blog Hop!

This hop will be showcasing 14 different designers and their love inspired projects. If you are coming from Patti your right on track.  If you are just visiting and would like to join the fun hop on over to COURTNEY'S BLOG that's where the fun begins! We hope you have a great time hopping along and feel some love inspiration this Valentine's weekend!

Now onto my Lot's of Love inspired project(s)!!

I was totally inspired to do a banner after seeing the adorable "Love Bug" on the create a critter cart. For the banner I used my cricut expression with the create a critter, storybook and alphalicious carts. I also cuttlebugged a few of the Marquee's behind the letters with a sixxix folder I got at michaels. (on sale of course!!) I blinged out two of the four corners on each Marquee with adhesive rhinestones and made a cute little bow for the "L". To string the whole banner together I used my new tool my Crop-A-Dile II which is a great tool to have. I punched the holes and used 3/16 heart shaped eyelets. Used red glittery ribbon to string thru the eyelets and there is my lovely banner.

***EDIT*** I forgot to mention how I made the letters glitter fabulous. I cut the shadow with bazzill bling and the top layer with plain red cardstock from stampin up. I use martha stewart glitter on the letters and once that dried I went over the letters with glossey accents. I love glossey accents it gives glitter that extra smooth shine! I hope everyone enjoys my little tips. :)

These cards were sooo simple and easy to make. I used K&Company Designer Paper and Stampin Up cardstock for the bases on both cards.

The two cards above I added some blingy rhinestones and also used my bakers twine for the first time from scrappymoms. The sentiment on the front is another sixxix mini embossing folder that came with the on sale pack. I inked the edges and added some martha stewart glitter to the letters to help them pop out.

For these cards I used some ribbon from michaels. I also added pink hot rocks and got to use my I Rock tool. That thing is so much fun. I want to bling out everything now!! The sentiment was cut from the Beyond Birthdays cart. I seperated the cut into 3 pieces on my gypsy so I could use different colors to make it pop.

Now onto the blog candy. Nom Nom Nom!!!
I know all us cricut girlies go thru those blades pretty fast I am offering one package of cricut replacement blades. I'll also throw in a couple extra things but those are a surprise!! ;) To enter for the candy Please become my follower and  leave me a comment telling me what you think of my Lot's of Love projects.

Lady Gaga on Mom Puter

My dumb neighbor......

The video explains everything....

The Sweetest Thing....

This morning my son and I were about to start walking downstairs to start our day. He looked up at me and said, "Mom carry." I said, "Baby Mommies arms have owies from shoveling yesterday. You can walk like a big boy." He looks at me with a sad face and says, "2 owies" and then points at my arm and then his ankle. So I said, "Mommy kiss your owie and make it better" and I leaned down and kissed his cute little foot. He then says, "I make mom better" and he kisses my arm. He looks up and me and says, "2 feel betters, Lycan feel better and Mom feel better." I wanted to melt right there. It was the sweetest thing ever!!!

A little background story.... my son was diagnosed with speech apraxia after a few months of speech therapy when he was 2 years old. Doctors and Therapist pushed and pushed him in therapy and we took him to specialsts and it was pretty much said that our son would never talk. He would need a device that he hangs around his neck and it talks for him. My husband and I were devistated because it just seemed like he was soooo young to get this kind of diagnosis. We continued therapy with him 2-3 times a week for an hour at a time and everytime we went he would just have these anxiety attacks. He would close up and maybe say one or two words in therapy. My husband and I decided last summer that the therapy was just making our son close up and it wasn't doing him any good. So we took him completely out of all therapies. About 2 months later I'll never forget it we were putting a diaper on him for nap time and we were singing the abc's and my son started saying every letter after us. That was the first time I knew we had done the right thing. From that point on he started trying to say more words. The words were coming out so clear and beautiful. If you have a child and when they are 3 years old and you've never heard their voice it is such a heart warming moment when you finally get to hear them speak. As of today he can say so many words and he puts sentences together and he totally knows how to get what he wants from mom. I'm the big pushover!! hahaha!!! But I wouldn't have it any other way. He's my sweet boy.

Blizzard of 2011

Hey Everybody!! I hope if your in a snowy area you are staying toasty warm inside and that you have power. Alot of people in the chicago area are without power but thank goodness we still have it. I'd go stir crazy without some kind of internet or TV. My son is being soooo goofy with me today. We woke up and looked out every window of the house and took pictures and just had fun giggling with eachother about how deep the snow is. I think we'll be snowed in here for awhile. I went and did my grocery shopping yesterday morning so if were stuck at least we won't starve. hee hee

Here is the first pic we took. It's the view from our back patio door. I measured it with my cricut paper cutter and it's 25 inches deep!

Anyone wanna come over for a BBQ???!!!

This is the view looking down at the back yard from my sons bedroom window. I didn't take a picture of it but the neighbors house straight back from this picture has a snow drift on the side of the house that is at least 9 feet tall. I wanna go walk thru it just to say I've walked thru snow. hahaha!!! But that won't happen I'm too chicken!! hahahahaha!!!

O.K. so our neighbors have 3 cars. Their sedan, SUV and big truck. We live in Navy Housing and have to share a driveway with them. Last night they were going out with their truck and compacting the snow into the driveway so they could just drive over it. I was so mad at them last night because they compacted all the snow with their truck and we only have a little corolla that would never be able to go over the compacted snow. So if we did have to leave we'd have to go out there and dig up all that compacted snow. They just made things really hard for us. At about 8PM I looked outside and both their truck and SUV were gone but they had left their garage door open. This is the what happened to them because they forgot to close the garage door.

I wonder what their gonna do now. I've not yet seem them outside with a shovel all winter.

This is the view of the driveway... you say...what driveway??!!! It's totally covered by at least 20 inches of snow. Luckily the drifting made it so there is no snow directly in front of our garage. And I don't think the plows have been out in our neighborhood all night. The roads are completly covered as well.

This is the view from our front door. The neighbors across the street got the snow drift and it's half way up their door. Those windows on the front of the house are at least 3.5 feet off the ground and the snow is right below them.

I hope everyone enjoys my snowy pictures!!! Thanks for looking!! Amy :)
